Its really true the #supermarkets and #shoppingCentres are almost fitted out to be as ornate and decorative as medieval #churches.

Re: walkable we have had some very characterful old buildings and trees that made our built environment walkable from an aesthetic and restorative viewpoint but they were sacrificed for drab, blocky designs with no character and we don't enjoy walking in that area.

To understand why walks in nature are beneficial to #publicHealth we need to go back one step.

The #bigTrees are beneficial for many reasons, #airQuality, #biodiversity etc, but #restorativeEnvironments have visual detail aspect too.

The #restorative aspect extends to walking through old #European towns and cities, with #heritage, architectural detail, variation in building height, and… 1/3

Was it the #junkFood, the #sugar, the #tracesOfSoy, the #canolaOil, the #heavyMetals, the #sexySmoking scenes, the #alcohol, the #supplements, the #rancidNuts, the #soyFlour, the #caffeine, the #glyphosate-dried products, the poorly regulated #pharmaceuticals, maybe its #overdevelopment, the loss of #greenSpaces and #restorativeEnvironments that stimulate young minds, the loss of connection to the #land.
