Speaking as a regulator this is a problem. We know our flood safety regs are outdated but we don’t know what safe regs would look like. This is very much on my mind as #cville continues to work to update our flood safety ordinance. Thankfully we breached an old dam on the #rivanna a few years ago which hopefully bought us some time by speeding up drainage of the area.
