It’s past the season, but I made my first bûche de noël (yule log) cake.
This is the first log cake I’ve ever made in general. Used the America’s Test Kitchen recipe with a tip from Stella Parks recipe on cooling/shaping.
Vanilla cake
Caramel espresso filling
Chocolate ganache coating
The cake cracked when I rolled it but it got covered with the ganache so all good.
