Book of the month: We Are All Ghosts In The Forest by Lorraine Wilson
The Book of Phoenix by Nnedi Okorafur is a powerful prequel to her Who Fears Death - she's building a great series, with her latest novella, She Who Knows, adding to the story
For #TopTenTuesday, we're looking at the oldest books on our shelves. I'm focusing strictly on SF for #ScifiMonth2024 and was surprised to find I own a lot more classic SF than I realise...
This is the next book that I’m picking up for #scifimonth2024. I can’t remember if this was a backup or random, but ive been wanting to pick this up for a while now. It was also recommended as a read alike- so here we are.

#scifimonth2024 Day 17: Recent Haul-I was going to skip this one because I haven’t bought any sci-fi books. But I took my kids to the library and well .. ooops.I needed more of the janitorial turned warrior space crew. the other two books followed me around until I agreed to take them with me.
Grab a cuppa, put your feet up and clear some space on your shelf - it's time for a Mission Log round-up of the past week's #ScifiMonth2024 shenanigans!

it’s time to knock out the last 50 pages. I can’t believe that this may turn out to be a favorite read, considering how ridiculous the story bones are. But don’t be fooled there’s meat to it.

Paused my reading alien space fighting and feral humans (which I am enjoying) to read this graphic novel. It looks fun!

#scifimonth2024 Day 10: Book to Screen: there are several I could have picked but this is the first one on my list. Foundation is a book I’ve always wanted to read. But when I heard they were making it a show I moved it up the list. Here’s hoping I get to it in 2025.
#scifimonth2024 Day 09: Black hole—- if I could throw any book into a black hole it would be Blindsight by Peter Watts. My friend recommended it to me, and I decided to try it this month. And let’s just say I wouldn’t hesitate throwing this book into a black hole. 🤷🏽♀️
#scifimonth2024 day 08: Aye aye captain! To be honest, this book is pretty forgettable. But I remember really liking Niko- fairly certain she’s the reason I finished the book. So if I had to serve under any space captain, I’d pick Niko.
This prompt made me realize I need more space faring sci-fi in my life.
It's Friday, it's #ScifiMonth2024 so it must be time for a top five - this week's prompt is 'aye aye captain' and I'm celebrating some fictional spacefaring favourites

Day 07:Since we Last Met- A Pale Light in the Black was my first book by KB Wager (I loved!)?and since then I started an earlier series by them. Now to go back and reread both of these first books so I can continue on with the series #scifimonth2024
I'm going to sneak into #scifimonth2024 my review of Who Fears Death by Nnedi Okorafor. Great book!
