Exploring arcade rhythm games

Hey everyone, Bit here. I've been into rhythm games a lot recently, mostly Project Sekai, otherwise known as Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage outside of Japan (although many Americans including me still call it Project Sekai). I've gotten good enough at the game that I can get an all perfect play on some mid-level Expert charts, with my highest-level AP being "Beyond the way" [Expert 25]. Classic Konami, for the past 1-2 weeks US Region has been rolled back to 20250324 date code on all SDVX cabinets.

And of course because everyone outside of Japan is an afterthough they have not fixed or even acknowledged this issue at all.

So for the few wondering, no its not you. VARIANT GATE did disappear for no apparent reason.

I was able to try out VARIANT GATE and MAXXIVE RATE today.

MAXXIVE RATE is basically an extension of EXCESSIVE RATE, but it requires S CRITICAL to be turned on. It feels about the same as playing HEXA DIVER set on 5 (aka a few misses and you're bye bye, but it gives you a bit of a buffer to recover).

VARIANT GUAGE fills up similar to BLASTER. Fills by playing with MAXXIVE RATE on. The guage doesn't fill in PREMIUM or LIGHT START.

The VARIANT GATE only shows up on your "EX TRACK". WARNING ITS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT as the guage is similar to playing MAXXIVE RATE.

... anyway I have calmed down now. This is an official chart btw... I'm probably still not good enough to clear most lvl 18s but this is amazing.

Also this song gave me PTSD when I was still a kid playing Osu which makes it feel even nicer when I cleared it

A bunch of the Konaste games are participating in an event called the Konaste Thanks Festival which starts on March 13th and ends on March 31st. Along with Japan-only e-amusement cards, this event coincided with a bunch of sales on music packs and new music packs.

#IIDX #Infinitas has its own Thanks Festival that lasts until April 6th: a new original song, a new Resident music pack; new Premium results screens, a big bar that shows clear lamps, Bit Boosts will be 3x, and the daily logins will give you 5000 bits (no 25000 bit bonus on the 8th, though).

#sdvx Sound Voltex Exceed Gear is also getting some updates as well, with a new Bemani Selection pack, music pack sales, and some more QoL updates.

#DDR Grand Prix is getting a Bemani Selection Pack vol.3 that includes Challenge charts for older songs, and a bunch of music pack sales.

#Gitadora is getting a Bemani selection pack and a famous song pack, plus sales.
