I'll be hoping Senator Alice-Mary Higgins can be returned to the Seanad from the NUI panel and that she will be joined by Green Party Councillor Eva Dowling.
I know the Seanad is probably the most unrepresentative body in our democracy but I would urge people to vote if they have a vote.
You can be sure that people like Laoise De Brún and Sandra Adams form the Terf organisation, The Countess, will be rallying their troops and trust me, you don't want to see either of them in our Oireachtas.
Likewise it would be satisfying to see the anti-choice Senator Rónán Mullen ousted from the Seanad.
