I can #Japanese from years of Anime and Games and one very painful Uni break going through the #GenkiTextbooks #HighlyRecommended. I write badly, but can listen and read at the level of the #Haruhi novels.
Why bother when wikis and anime database sites exist? AniAnimals.moe is meant to be modern, curated, and animal-focused site with video at its core. I want #cute and #facts, not #prose of #plot. I've found that English Wikipeda, Fandom, Anime-Planet misgender, misname and outright present mistakes as facts. I spend effort looking through the Japanese wikis and #RawManga to find the truth. And I'm ok with admitting and correcting my mistakes. Wikis have to deal with politics and power plays about ownership.
