Rosey Bean went on her first bus today! In hindsight, at 25mins each way, the journey was a bit long for her first but she was more relaxed on the return so we're confident she'll get better after a few more trips.

We took her into town and she met lots of friendly people. She was also brilliant in a cafe over lunch: as soon as I got out her blanket, she settled immediately.

Rosey's first snow day!

The snow started here yesterday evening so she got to potter in the yard in a few cm last night, but the real fun started today, with about 10-12cm on the grass in the fields.

She snaffled snowballs, stuck her head in drifts and crunched icicles.

Our previous dog Daisy LOVED the snow (our garden was full of doggy snow angels) so I'm glad that this one enjoying it too 😄

In the village, along with the assorted houses etc, there's an old stone viaduct with majestic arches, and beyond that, an old stone textile mill.

#FootpathFriday Rosey Bean is very much enjoying discovering the footpaths near our home. Decaying leaves smell great!

(Sheep poo and horse poo also smell great! And little creatures down holes in the path smell great! Everything smells great!)

A long awaited day finally came: Rosey Bean's first visit to the puppy play session! (At Dragonfly in #Slaithwaite.)

There were 7 dogs, aged from 13 to ~20 weeks, but sized from cavapoo (ish) to Great Dane. Rosey was super excited when she first arrived - chasing all the bigger dogs! - but with a bit of encouragement, she calmed down a bit after that.

It was delightful, watching them all play together. Can't wait to go back!

After having her second vacc early last week, Rosey Bean has LOVED her newfound freedom this week.

She's been on foot in the village for the first time, went to the fab Greenhead Park in Huddersfield on Thurs, and did a short loop at Scammoden Reservoir today.

Most importantly, she's been getting to meet dogs. Everyone has been very well behaved with her, and she became instant BFFs with a 7 month old cocker: it was lovely watching them play together 😁

Three weeks ago, Rosey Bean came into our lives.

She's now 12 weeks old and is both a little darling & a cheeky menace 😆

She's a springer spaniel, like our previous two dogs - but we adopted them as older adults. We've fostered other younger dogs but none this young - so we're learning us much about puppies as Rosey is learning about everything!

She's had her 2nd vacc today so can start exploring the world properly soon - we can't wait!
