Quand on évoque les espions britanniques, on pense souvent à James Bond ou au n°6 Le Prisonnier (The Prisoner), ou à d’innombrables clones sérieux et froids des années 60. Mais il y a cette bizarrerie délicieuse, ce cocktail de flegme et de surréalisme : Chapeau Melon et Bottes de Cuir (The Avengers en VO).

Une série qui a traversé les décennies avec une élégance désinvolte, jamais vraiment sérieuse, mais toujours stylée. Et si, sans qu’on s’en rende compte, elle avait déjà infiltré nos tables de jeu ?

How did my Avengers post get so much traffic today? I'd post more but the shows have been dastardly dull this week. Oh wait, forgot today's look at Steed's kitchen. It looks interesting, to say the least. Was this the style in 1965? (I used to design kitchens so I'm always keen to see them in movies and TV shows. Anyone else?)

It's funny you mention people who can draw. I used to feel the same way. It always seemed like they were magically born able to draw.

I majored in Art (Concentrating in Photography) so I had to take 3 drawing classes. One of the classes changed my life profoundly. I learned how to draw!

This second picture shows a student's before the course self-portrait, which is kind of terrible, and the same student's after the course self-portrait, which is amazingly good.

I’ve always found this a fascinating “What if” curio - an unsold US pilot for a take on #TheAvengers (#Steed & #MrsPeel variety) starring the always elegant and watchable #MorganFairchild ♥️ and written/produced by Avenger-man #BrianClemens. It didn’t go to series but it's still better than the #RalfFiennes movie!
