Given partner's obvious interest in several #kdramas that I had initially thought he would like but were too romancey, I am taking a massive leap and starting him on #TaleOfTheNineTailed. I feel this one is a major risk as it is indeed romance heavy. However, I have always thought that he would like the rest of the story. For extra excitement, I am starting it while we are still watching #Healer. This will either end really well or really badly.

I'm not sure. I don't think #TaleOfTheNineTailed fits my mood. A little too dark.

I guess this is why I moved away from #kdrama.

I might be starting a new drama. Not sure what. I think I'm in the mood for something supernatural or historical. Otherwise I could just go on watching #LoveEndures or #MeetYourself. 😅

Oh, enjoy! Murder mysteries are far from my favourite, whether watching or reading. There are certainly some interesting ones out there, though.

I'm currently reading The Fox Wife by #YangszeChoo and just watched the k-movie Exhuma. I'm finding it super interesting how critical fox spirits are in Korean, Japanese AND Chinese culture and the differences and similarities between their attributes. I may have to rewatch #TaleOfTheNineTailed before long!

There are fabulous horror shows, including #Happiness, #SweetHome, and #GyeongseongCreatures (which I haven't yet seen but it's very popular).
Fantasy includes #TaleOfTheNineTailed
Also, a lot of amazing historical fiction, but it's Korean history, which is not so familiar to me. Many different ages of history are represented.
Oh, and romantic comedy!! SO many, and almost always with the #FemaleGaze! I never really knew that male beauty was a thing but I sure do now!

I'm still watching #forecastingloveandweather however, husband has quite got into this !! For weather & unlikely love story.
So we abandoned #taleoftheninetailed as something to watch together.
Meanwhile he watched most of #thebrotherssun without me, but that's fine ( not kdrama)
So: ☀️ he's out at ukulele night, I've started #welcometosamdalri - more weather forecasting! More Jeju Island! But it's hot, and sunny, and the sea is blue... Which was very needed this evening

Yes! I loved him too! (He's been in several dramas I've seen). Probably one of the reasons I loved Lee Rang was his relationship with his "puppy."

Have just begun watching "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" 🌸 This is quite unusual for me since I prefer Cdramas to Kdramas. But I was getting tired of the silly nature of "The Princess and the Werewolf" despite Chen Zheyuan so I decided to try a more intense drama.

Those are #TV series, not movies. Season 2 is set in 1938 hence “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938”. It is not a spin-off nor a reboot, it is a direct continuation of #TaleOfTheNineTailed.

There will be Season 3, which was already announced last year, which will pick up from where Season 2 “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938” left off.

If the two shows are not combined properly, it will be weird on your end if https://trakt.tv/shows/tale-of-the-nine-tailed have Season 1 and then jumps to Season 3.

That’s what I had heard and that’s why I watched this one in the 1st place. I haven’t seen Jo Bo Ah in anything else yet, so as you said, I’m not sure if it’s her or the writing or the directing.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed (2020 Viki)

I put off watching the last episode because I knew it would be rough.Yep, I spent 1/2 of it crying. I liked it overall, but it had good points & bad. Lee Dong Wook & Kim Bum were amazing. I honestly cried more about their relationship than the main couple's. I didn't feel a lot of chemistry from the lead couple. I dislike it when an actress' character starts strong and then becomes a damsel in distress. The villain's casting was also off for me.

After the first conflict, the script was floundering. It came back together in the end. Since I ended up in tears, the story definitely moved me. The brothers, the 2nd couple, and the bickering "grandparents" made the story worth watching. For me, this one is probably not a rewatch. After seeing LDW in this, I'm really looking forward to seeing him in Goblin & TOTNT1938.

Kdrama Status

It's Okay to Not Be Okay (watch party: ep. 8) - Finding so many new things, not only because it's the 2nd time, but seeing it through other's eyes is enlightening.

Hotel del Luna (watch party: ep. 8) - Beautiful and I have become an IU fan. She is just amazing.

Besides the watch parties, I like having 2 or 3 different genres going.
The K2 (Action/Spy: ep. 14) - Great action, mild romance.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed (Supernatural: ep. 5) - I'm really enjoying this story. Watching, so I can watch 1938 and know what's going on.

Our Blooming Youth (Historical Mystery: ep. 4) - This one is getting better & better with every episode. Very intriguing!

And because those all happened to get pretty intense about the same time for me, I wanted something lighter and binged Suspicious Partner. I'll do a recap post later because I finished it yesterday.
