I know it's a small thing, but getting to see your country's flag amongst the other nations that are competing in an international tournament is a delightful experience. To see 🏴 next to the great nations of Germany, Italy, and Albania, & tiny countries like Türkiye, on the windows of shops, bars, & fan zones. All my adult life, this had been an experience that wasn't a thing for Scotland supporters. But now it is.
And I absolutely love to see it.

A very mixed day in Munich yesterday. The fan zone was full 7 hours before the match kicked off. 90 minute queue for beer, 30 minutes queue for toilets. The authorities seriously misjudged how many folk would be there. Great atmosphere spoiled by shocking facilities.
As for the match, we were outclassed from the start, but the fans didn’t stop singing. Germany were simply too good.
I’ve still got 3 days here,, so heading out for more beer and footie on big screens.
