Hey all, my friend made a mod for Tabletop Simulator that allows you to play the mini-game Seven Hearts from "The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II" by Falcom.
It supports online multiplayer and you can also play with bots.
They have included the code as well, which has some nice implementations of card / hand swap mechanics.

I finished Trails Through Daybreak last night. It was mostly a good game, but I have problems with the story. I don't want to go too much into it, but it's much simpler politically than the other games in the series. And the main villain's intent is really simple. That's a big minus in my book.
However, I really like most of the changes made to the combat system. When I first heard that they were introducing field combat to the series, I thought it was silly and thought I'd never use it. Instead, I found it very useful and engaging.
The shard system is also pretty good. It reminds me of the older trail games where you had quartz lines and got arts depending on the element of the quartz you had on them. Instead of having different arts, you gain something else called shard skills and lines correspond to different categories (weapons, defending, arts and EX.) I found myself moving quartz around to get certain skills on certain lines.
S-crafts are kind of a mixed bag. I found it strategically interesting that they made S-crafts depend on a shared party resource called the boost gauge, so you can't just spam them willy nilly like you could in previous games. However, I disliked how they got rid of strategic timing of S-crafts with regards to stealing AT bonuses on the timeline, so I was mostly spamming attack based ones whenever.
The music is pretty good, especially the dungeon themes. I think the final dungeon in this game might have the third best final dungeon theme in this series.
As far as characters go, most of the playable characters are pretty great, personality wise. I did feel like I wanted to learn more about some of them, but I suspect it will be revealed in later games.

Finally dipping my toes into the Trails/Kiseki series. I wanted to play these for a long time, hearing nothing but high praise. Ten massive RPGs with interconnected storylines is quite the undertaking though. 😵💫
As things stand now I plan to catch up by 2028!

Fully finished the post-game dungeon for Trails Into Reveries. I enjoyed it, though the dungeon was more end of Trails of Cold Steel 2 rather than Trails in the Sky 3rd.
I think 3rd is still probably my favorite Trails game.
I did like the post-game stories though. Especially since one of them features my favorite character in the series: Renne. Nice way of introducing important characters in the next game.
I want to play Baldur's Gate 3...
I beat the main story of Trails into Reverie last night. Took about 80 hours to get there, although that was with completing the fishing / pom-pom party / culinary tasks / daydreams. I think the extra stuff took about 15 or so hours.
I did like the game, although I was expecting it to be more like 3rd where the whole game centers around the dungeon. I think for the main story, the dungeon is mostly optional. I wish it had more daydreams (the equivalent of the doors), but maybe there are a lot more in the post-game.
I think if you're a fan of Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure, you'll be pretty happy that the story has a very heavy focus on Lloyd. C also gets a lot of focus and story development as well, which I was pretty happy with.
Now onto the post-game!
Figures that the one Daydream I really wanted to view is also the last one that I have to get! 🤨 It is nice to see through Osborne's eyes for once, and feel his thoughts and regrets, and even how he felt seeing Rean for the first time in years.
Brings back memories to see Rean as a teen once more.
So after 72 hours, I'm done with the game! I still have the trial doors left though, and I'm not sure if I even want to do that!

Nadia too seems very protective of Swine, and it is almost funny to see that one scene when she went into graphic detail what she would do to the soldier and all but made him spill his guts without even laying a finger on him 😆😂

Nadia and Swine from Three & Nine too are really funny together. I like using them the more I use them. Heck, Swine all but replaced a certain "C" as party leader as I just like Swine and his attacks better.
