#trashtodon

Magic in the trash or something like that.
#MagicInTheMundane #trashtodon

Some cardboard litter strewn across a parking lot and weathered by winter storms. Some decomposing cardboard box at the lower left, and some honeycomb cardboard cushioning strewn out in an s-shape, all surrounded by white ice.A closer short of the honeycomb cardboard packaging. It's garbage but it's beautiful, undulating waves of texture in sun and shadow.

Sucking up the melting snow...

Unwrapped tampon laying on the dirt path, a patch of green grass is visible in the background. The dirt path is wet, only the photographer knows it's melted snow. The tampon is full of water.

Discarded sweatpants in the form of a hungry sea monster for #trashtodon.

A set of heather gray sweatpants hastily removed into a heap that somehow resembles a cavernous open mouth, with one pant leg lolling out like a tongue. Pictured in front of a cinder block wall, with a telephone pole visible behind.

detritus of #drugs...

this #trashtodon discovery sent me down a rabbit-hole that led to (regulation of) flavored vaping, with retailers (possibly manufacturers too?) branching out to flavored NO2

#supplyChain

a 2000 gram canister of blueberry-flavored nitrous oxide, nominally for whipped cream, lying on wet ground gravel. the canister is coated in a textured patina of gravel dust

#trashtodon but also a LichenSubscribe fakeout (so not tagging but it honestly was not easy to tell what i was seeing!)

a yellow fuzzy textile thing rather like a thin feather boa sitting at the base of a tree trunk amidst some green shoots on the ground

first #trashtodon of the new year

#LARiver

A single white shoe sits on a concrete embankment above the LA River. its mate is visible as a white fleck nearer to the water

Selfie with Rose Parade remains for #trashtodon

A large pile of plastic ponchos, blue and transparent, as well as mylar space blankets, heaped up like plowed snow, at the base of a convex traffic mirror—in which, if you squint, you might see me snapping a photo with my phone. The street is damp and lined with palm trees and many more similar trash heaps. The sky is cloudy as if a storm is dissipating.

Some plastic finger nails are laying on the ground and between leaves. Some of the nails are french nails and some are blue with small white petaled flowers on them.

Plastic keeps the world together...

Photograph of a sunny beach with dunes with some greenery on it. On the foot of the dunes a huge and thick black plastic tarp seems to stick out of the dune. Also some boulders are visible and the photographers shadow - the shape of the shadow indicates that a winter jacket is being worn and it is cold outside.

Heading into a rainstorm and winter break with a #trashtodon - #flosstodon crossover

in the dirt where scrubby grass meets a curb, dozens of white plastic flossers in a heap

Mysterious broken ellipse and cheeto bag for #trashtodon

A low angle color photo of what is presumably a mirrored accent piece from some car's headlight. It straddles the line between the sidewalk and adjacent sunny grass. A little further in the distance, a crumpled foil sack from someone's chips.

Leafy eye contact...

Asphalt with wet brown leaves on top of it. Nestled in between the leaves are smashed porcelain parts of a white doll face. A blue eye is visible and what looks like a heart shape is drawn in red marker on another piece. Something dark yellow tha looks like fluid is on some. And to complete the trash photography part of a chocolate wrapping lies next to the smashed porcelain doll parts.

#trashtodon - wildlife crossover, in honor of the very large bear inhabiting a crawlspace in a #LosAngeles area home

More #Trashtodon along the #LARiver

We are looking at the underside of an upturned wooden shipping pallet, painted a faded blue. A tangle of dry, reedy grasses wraps around the right side, protruding through the horizontal slats, along with scraps of cardboard, plastic, and dry leaves. A yellow beer can is crumpled into the pallet — its mouth looks the camera head-on. Adjacent to the can, a swatch of bright pink plastic probably a shredded grocery bag, wraps through the slats at an angle.

We're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

A little #LARiver #Trashtodon to brighten your day.

An oblique view down an uneven, paved embankment, at the bottom of which a bit of shimmering placid river is just visible. In the foreground, many, many bits of broken mirror reflect at differing angles the clear blue sky above. The mirror seems to scatter across the embankment as far as we can see.

#trashtodon : a monument to fragility and the folly of the best-laid plans, always

a green metal barrel trashcan; the bottom plate has separated from the barrel and trash is spilling out from the bottom

Be more like the trash can. Don't store other people's waste.

Photo taken from inside a tram, a trash can in the center of the photo. The bottom of the trash can is open and beneath it lies a pile of trash. In the background cars are visible standing and driving at a crossroad.
