Yesterday's hike to #HookerFalls and #TripleFalls in #DupontForest in #WNC in #US. Whew. Early start, first ones there. Had Hooker all to ourselves, nice outing. Saw a #ghost

Rather the quintessential North Carolina fall picture, looking at a waterfall, with various trees turning colors on the bank. Rocks in the foreground, and an overall calm feeling. A real photographer might have gotten a good photo out of this!Looking up Triple Falls. Still quite early, the sun had just begun to light up the trees at the top of the highest fall. Water cascades down over 3 distinct waterfalls, with a wooden fence in the foreground. This set of falls stretch hundreds of yards upstream, and even the road/trail is very steep, walking up from one to the next.Concrete supports for a road/bridge stand half on sand and half on water. A handsome, friendly ghost (NOT Casper) smiles out at the camera from one of them. He is a spray-painted outline in classic Ghost White.

A poor #photo of #TripleFalls in #WNC in the #US. It was an easy, short hike, and the rain kept us the only people until we were almost back to the car. From this spot, the waterfall was very loud!

A damp day, and view from an overlook of a bright green spring forest, and 3 levels of waterfalls cascading down the slope. Pretend I'm making a loud "whooshing" sound, to go with the image. It was quite wet.
