OSR offered a framework with scarcity and vulnerability and stakes that actually forced decisions about a character's morals & ethics and dealt in the sauce of ideology vs practice. Tbf at that time I was looking at #TheBlackHack #Troika & #IntotheOdd which felt like an attempt at departure from Gygaxian proceduralism. And the modules i was seeing were just bananas

Thought I would plug this KS for #foundryvtt support for the #AdvancedFightingFantasy #ttrpg - this is the updated and enlarged RPG version of the #FightingFantasy system if you didn't know. Yes, the gamebooks.

It's being done by Hod Publishing who made the #Troika module for Foundry which is good, and that's based on AFF (ish) so I think this should also be a quality product.

In der letzten Sitzung lernten die SCs jede Menge seltsamer Passagiere kennen, während sie in einem Mordfall ermittelten.
Das Abenteuer bestand zu 90% aus sozialer Interaktion, und das macht bei den surrealistischen Gestalten viel Spaß - vorausgesetzt, die SL (=ich) hat einen guten Tag und ist einigermaßen wach. 😅
