Merry TubaChristmas! The marching arts season is over and it's time to look to the holidays. I've put together a pretty ambitious TubaChristmas performance schedule this year, though it is 90% tentative and 100% subject to change. #Philly friends: #TubaChristmas is coming back to the #KimmelCenter on December 21 this year! Two performances are scheduled: noon and 6:00 PM. It's super easy to get to via public transit, only one hour long, and it’s free!
If you're looking for some festive #holiday fun that’s just a little bit off the beaten path (and a great way to have your kids hear some live music), this is the place to be. I'll be playing at the noon performance, so feel free to wave vigorously. https://phillytubachristmas.com
Just heard from the director of #Philly’s annual #TubaChristmas show. Final details are being worked out, and we’re ramping up for another great performance in December. I’ll be sure to let you all know as soon as things are settled.

My final TubaChristmas concert is taking place this Saturday, December 21, at The University of Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall. Performers will pay a $10 registration and rehearse starting at 9:30 AM Eastern. Audience members just need to bring their singing voices, wear their most festive and/or ugliest sweaters, and bring something that jingles.

TubaChristmas season went FAST.
My final TubaChristmas concert is taking place this Saturday, December 21, at The University of Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall. Performers will pay a $10 registration and rehearse starting at 9:30 AM Eastern. Audience members just need to bring their singing voices, wear their most festive and/or ugliest sweaters, and bring something that jingles. Festive lights are also encouraged, both for musicians and audience members alike. The first concert starts at 12:00 PM Eastern, while the second concert begins at 2:30 PM Eastern.

To celebrate two years car free I rode my bike to play my euphonium in a #tubachristmas a decent bike ride from home(60 km). I feel so fortunate to be able to do that and am happy that it was fairly decent biking there but the paved shoulder on Chippendale Ave was very rough on a lot of it. I detoured over to Denmark Ave for part of it and the gravel was almost as smooth but way less traffic. I also saw a illuminated holiday parade on the way home. #biketooter #euphonium

Turns out that Cleveland TubaChristmas uses their own music packet instead of the TubaChristmas packet I already have transposed to G bugle, so looks like I have a new project in preparation for 2025.
It’s the first TubaChristmas concert of my season and, for the first time, I’m going to play the Cleveland concert!

With the end of marching band season upon us, it’s time to look forward to the holidays. We have Thanksgiving in just a couple weeks before we get into the real reason for the season, Whamageddon!
