Do you remember when all the Punk websites had those banners?
If yes: you are old too!
That was the time, when you went to selfhtml.de from @StefanMuenz@social.vivaldi.net to learn HTML. Not sure, if I would have become a nerd without that page, so from deep of my heart: Thank you!

I'm still sad, there is no BLINK html tag anymore

: 80 years ago this month — in January 1946 — Einstein wrote an essay speaking out against racism. Einstein, who was very active in the Civil Rights movement, wrote, in part: "Our attitude towards things is conditioned by opinions, value judgments and emotions which we unconsciously absorb as children," adding that "the powerful influence of tradition is the influence of our conscious thought upon our conduct and convictions.”

I present The Mermaid of Užupis from a trip to #Lithuania a few years back for #ThrowbackThursday

#Vilnius #Uzupis #UzupisMermaid #TBT mermaid #art #sculpture

the bronze statuette sits in an alcove in a stone-walled riverbank about a meter above the dark water. There is a snow-covered ledge below her and snow covered grass at the top of the walled bank. The year 1881 is chiseled into a stone at the top of the alcove. A steel post, a fence, some tree trunks, and a blue, passing car are visible over the top of the wall. The mermaid's hair is splayed out behind her, suggesting that she only recently emerged from the river to sit. She is topless and looking up and to her left; perhaps wondering what it would be like to be a bird.

My silhouette reflection and an empty white lobby view shot through an all glass doorway. Brown door at end of lobby hallway.

2005, we were young and punks. We reclaimed an abandoned building to make our cultural center.

50 years ago we had a huge snowstorm in my hometown of Malvern, PA. My dog Sam was part husky so he didn't mind being out in the cold and snow.

19yo me with what could only be considered a death wish of a motocross bike. It was a not-very-stock 1989 CR250R. Scary fun.

19 year old farm boy with his motocross bike; a red Honda CR250 with the #4 plate. He's of course wearing a t-shirt lacking sleeves because those were illegal or something. Behind him is a beater of a Ford Ranger pickup. Red and tan, with an obvious replacement front right fender. Little did he know he'd be swapping the engine in a year for the price of a wrecked truck; $100.
