Joining Mastodon has made me feel nostalgic. Getting online and emailing the author of a book on hackers because his was the only email address I could find; the alien Americanness of Compuserve; the real ale Britishness of Cix; being lost in Geocities; pouring out my heart on Blogger; drawing comics on 20Six and fighting the endless flood tide of grimness on Twitter. At every stage I’ve made friends I’ve loved and I hope the same will happen here. #Twitterspora #NewMastodonMember
