Great #WhiteShark Crisis
When elements of a #foodchain are lost, this can have #ecologicalimpacts with other species getting more abundant. N. Hammerschlag et al. (2025) report a sharp #decline in the #whiteshark population in #FalseBay, South Africa, possibly due to attacks by #orcas. This has implications for Cape fur seals and sevengill sharks.

The Great White Shark lives in almost all coastal and offshore waters that have water temperatures between 12 and 24 °C. Due to their highly migratory nature, some great white sharks make long journeys every year. To know more about Great White Shark Habitat, read this blog.

Où sont passés les grands #requins blancs de la baie du Cap, en Afrique du Sud ?
Au cours de ces 18 derniers mois, strictement aucune observation de grand blanc dans la baie du Cap n'a été enregistrée. Un vrai mystère.
