I love almost all the iterations of Guinevere. Even the wet blanket purity culture version in The Mists of Avalon. The Lawhead/Pendragon cycle version is my favourite - a beautiful warrior queen who is truly Arthur's equal.
But I hate the #WinterKing version. I hated her in each of the three books and I hate her in this ITV adaptation. And it's making it hard to keep watching.
Seem to be doing a lot of rereading at the moment. Working on Bernard Cornwell's Warlord Chronicles in anticipation of a new television series based on these novels. Anticipate plenty of shield walls and Saxon axes when Winter King is released. Arthur replacing Utred.
