This is not a Bible quote, but a quote from the movie Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino (1994).
The screenshot reads: "Ezekiel 25:17
'The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon there.'"
THIS is Ezekiel 25:17: "And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them."

This is why we need #InternationalWomensDay2025 #womensday #worldwomensday #Weltfrauentag. This text dates from 1964, a year before democracy was introduced in the USA (democracy is when the right to vote is independent of gender and skin colour). Women didn't count then, they often don't count now!

"Men impregnate women", "semen fertilize egg cells". Nope. Women aren't incubators but procreators, sperm are not semen but only germ cells that cannot fertilize but only fuse! Language matters

Heute ist Weltfrauentag! 💪

In den Beständen des Staatsarchivs Sigmaringen findet sich passend hierzu diese Akte der Gewerbeaufsicht aus den Jahren 1917 bis 1928.

👉 Darin geht es um den erhöhten (Arbeits-)Schutz von Frauen unter anderem auch um besondere Bestimmungen für "Schwangere- und Wöchnerinnen".

📁 Die gesamte 38seitge Akte finden Sie unter der Signatur: Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg, Staatsarchiv Sigmaringen Ho 278 T 1 Nr. 12.

💡 Die Gewerbeaufsicht wurde in Hohenzollern 1879 eingeführt und "bis auf weiteres" dem Regierungs- und Baurat Laur vom Handelsministerium übertragen. Sie erstreckte sich auf die Beschäftigung jugendlicher und weiblicher Arbeiter und den Fortbildungsschulunterricht.
