Hey #Winnipeg. What’s the worst #intersection in town if you’re a #pedestrian?
There’s no shortage but my current vote goes to Ness and Century. It’s two highways! It’s loud, dirty and doesn’t give a crap about you if you’re a person with mobility concerns. Especially in winter. 3 of the waiting pads are disintegrating. And the slip lanes encourage drivers to blast through on all sides. I’m surprised people aren’t constantly murdered there.

Living in poverty is linked to higher rates of disease, mental health distress, addictions, disability, and a shorter lifespan.

"The City of Winnipeg's public art budget was $500,000 a year from 2004-2018. It was reduced to $250,000 in 2019 and then $125,000 in 2022.
In the 2024-2027 budget, it has been cut completely.
Because of the cut, we could lose the Public Art Program completely.
Increases in other arts funding do not replace Winnipeg's unique Public Art Program. The program has a history of creating free and accessible community-driven arts programming across Winnipeg's many diverse neighbourhoods.
The Public Art Program needs its own budget line to ensure it remains an appropriately funded priority."

We pay for a bus service as users and as tax payers. This service is consistently late and unsafe. Unsustainable schedules are mandated by a city council, that also refuses to provide the funding required to achieve the goals they mandate.
