We are a small game development team creating a point and click adventure game called 2080.
The game takes place in the year 2080 when all efforts to reduce CO2 emissions have failed and the climate crisis has hit humanity. A small team of astronauts (and an alpaca) is sent to space in order to stop the global warming.

We have been working on the storyboard for the intro to our #AdventureGame. It explains the mission to set up a parasol in space in the year #2080 to stop the climate crisis.

Dialogs (and monologues) are a central element of #AdventureGames. Today we used “Schnack”, our in-house dialog editor, to write and structure the dialog for the prologue of 2080.

We try to make our characters as relatable as possible. Our character Joy in particular should be a person that players can identify with. So we give her some of our own characteristics: She is a tech nerd with a passion for music.
