@ai6yr The GOES 19 solar cam flashing all white is a new one. Probably a bit related.

@rasterweb I've got a unicomp 122 if you want to borrow one for a try.
@gsuberland This was for current sense in a drive, so it was a fun-annoying error that only showed up as the current sense dropping out at high modulation index.
@gsuberland I've done that (at 100nF) for LVDS things before. Turns out 5V/ns and .2A/ns near your LVDS makes it bounce off the ESD diodes. The look on the SI engineers faces when I explained that the plane it crosses is doing 5V/ns... for 180ns was priceless.
"Resistance" is what you do when you've lost.
Winning is one of those things you need to imagine ahead of time.
So not "we don't want this"—an essential duty of citizenship—but "this future" and the list of things that aren't negotiable.
A lot of the problem is most of us not being able to believe one side of politics has non-negotiable points around owning people, no rule of law, and killing everybody on a for-profit basis.
That's not a position with which there are grounds for compromise.
Few people know that you can continue to use curl when your DNS is broken. Just add
—resolve host:port:ip-address
to your command line*.
*) Yes, that about all DNS does for you. Prettty lame, right?💁🏻♂️
UPDATE: 2026 01 31 @ 15:01UTC: Nomad GFM URL corrected.
If you can, please help out Cat 🐈⬛🛰️ @catbailey and family?
Time is running out. The car is to be repossessed, their home is in foreclosure and about to be sold off, any day. The utilities are past-due, the storage with family's legacies is soon to be auctioned off.
There is no place for them to go.
Three humans, including two young humans, and five cats, will be out on the streets, in the cold and snow with little more than what they are wearing.
Time has always been of the essence but now it is even more urgent.
No one is hiring. Not for anything.
Since Cat lost her job last year it has been a wild and rough ride. A supremely stressful one.
Cat and family want to go nomad.
Cat wants to work. Remote would be preferable.
Hire Cat! Cat has many abilities that can be brought to the job, including management and organizing skills. Cat is really good at what she does. You actually can easily do worse than hiring Cat. Please do reach out to Cat 🐈⬛🛰️ @catbailey for details!
Cat has a Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/catacruthachadh !
(Please do read, comment on, and share Cat's Ko-Fi posts!)
Subscribe for unique stories and content.
Venmo/PayPal/CashApp are best. Ko-Fi PayPal is immediate but Stripe takes a day or two.

There is a GoFundMe specifically for truck/POD/RV (does not pay out at the moment, deliberately -- it's very specifically for the nomad goal):

@gsuberland @xssfox @0x47df Center negative at least kinda makes sense from all the old tube and pnp equipment.
Todd C. Miller has been maintaining the #sudo codebase for over 30 years. This is exactly one of those cases where an entire critical infrastructure is held together by the work of a single volunteer who apparently can’t find anyone willing to sponsor him for some financial support. #opensource #linux #foss #GNU
@janamarie The QSFP cardedge is neat, free on the DUT, but means the enclosure has to have a slot large enough to fit the debug board in. The flex ribbon is cheap-ish on the DUT and can snake out through just about any slit in the enclosure.
@xssfox One for the 7500 series too please?
@gsuberland @xssfox @0x47df It was a regulatory hack for early wifi stuff. "Non standard antenna plug means customers can't swap them."
@f4grx @xssfox @gsuberland @0x47df You're thinking normal UHF. MiniUHF is a batwing-abomination.
@janamarie REDFIT SKEDD, a custom fpc thingy, or qsfp-card edge to a custom debug board (If I need a few power rails and qspi and jtag and i2c or something).
@aleksorsist @f4grx Cleanrooms, high precision applications, applications where bearing currents are a problem (though there are cheaper ways). We used them back in solar car because un-lubricated SiN bearings were lower rolling resistance, but they're expensive as hell.
Not everyone can afford a smartphone. Stop making it the primary, and sometimes the only, interface for day to day services. It's like when companies move their customer facing information onto Discord. It's shit. Fucking stop it.
@revk No snub-cube (38 face) gate-symbol die?
RichiH has a strong message to kick this one off, definitely saying what everyone is feeling
@azonenberg Cache or have the rise/fall/duty etc. filters take level input(s), possibly with an automatic base and top call if you don't hook them up. Being able to do duty ratio at level or specified level rise and fall times is super useful for characterizing things like flyback voltage waveforms.
@azonenberg How much of that 50ms is in GetBaseAndTopVoltage?
