The older I get the curiouser I become, in every sense of the word. Finding my way, here and elsewhere. #cloud watcher, respecter of #nature, 99% #vegetarian

@aroundthehills Ashamed to admit I only have two currently whereas OH has three…
Sundog
A parhelion in the May morning. Magical.
This glorious beauty was waiting for me as I opened my bedroom curtains. Even my first coffee had to wait for a few moments.
We're here, not to make more than we can spend, not to consume embarrassingly, not to fight each other.
We exist to be in awe of our tiny blue planet, adrift in a sea of nothingness, and its diversity of life. Respect it; it's all we have.
There, I've said it.
Lowering the tone but felt compelled to..
@helenclayton Yikes indeed!!! 😬
@helenclayton Actually I can’t hear the word viaduct without thinking of Coronation Street. Mam was a Lancashire lass and I watched the program regularly with her. I was around 12 or 13 (there’s a giveaway!) when Ena was trapped under the viaduct, and I remember finding the whole thing somewhat traumatic! Not only that - Mam told me she nearly stepped out of a train on Preston viaduct in the 40’s as she was very short sighted and thought they’d reached the station 😱
@helenclayton 🤣🤣🤣
@helenclayton Viaduct please!🤓😂 It’s the Carlisle-Settle railway 😊
@aroundthehills Awwwww how sweet 😀
@Ivor 😬
It’s….. #FingerpostFriday
Word of the day: bisged https://geiriadur.ac.uk/gpc/gpc.html?bisged - a biscuit, ship’s biscuit, hard tack. We enjoy dunking our biscuits in tea or coffee and have many names for the tea break treat included in the Geiriadur, such as: bisgit, bisgïen, sgeden, cacen, teisen, bara poeth and bochlwyth.
Gair y dydd: bisged https://geiriadur.ac.uk/gpc/gpc.html?bisged - sef cacen fechan fflat heb lefain a fwyteir yn aml â 'phaned o de neu goffi, a bisged galed a fwyteid gynt ar fwrdd llong.
Pa enw a ddefnyddiwch chi am fisged - bisgit, bisgïen, sgeden, cacen, teisen, bara poeth, bochlwyth, neu a oes enw arall arni?
@helenclayton gosh that seems early - and what an intense colour 💛
"Sorry, I can't. I already have plans this weekend."
The plans
