Finnish sourdough rye bread round 2!
First time mostly successful! My kiddo gave it an A+ and said it was as good as Moomi Mama's baking 😆
I got to indulge in some weird Finnish chocolate today thanks to our community Finnish School "S-Kioski" - imagine a soft crunch bar with very soft licorice filling inside with just a hint of saltiness. Perfection for a shame snack 😆
Hyvää joulua!
I have my Halloween supply ready! Now to find out if anyone dares to trick or treat on my new street 🫣
Rainbow cake success! The shock and awe from the kids when the first cut was revealed was immense!
@arose62 I hope so! This seems like a second big round of flowering, we have 2 pumpkins that are growing from earlier flowers.
Today I learned that pumpkin flowers only bloom for one day. Hopefully the buds I have now will cooperate and bloom on the day we are taking photos to list our house for sale! (And hopefully we find a buyer who wants to garden) #gardening
New book arrived today!

Taking a break to watch the bees in the garden. #bee #gardening
@enobacon I pulled the ' ` ' and " marks into a file to help with the comparison (edited to include the straight quotation mark too)
New font alert! Intel has open-sourced their new monospace font called IntelOne Mono. This font was designed with developers who have low vision, with the goal of making programming more accessible by making it easier to read and write code. Anyone can download the font for free from Github: https://github.com/intel/intel-one-mono

Happy bees in the #garden
The bike racks are overflowing today! #BikeBus #WalkAndRoll #BikeToSchool
I ran out of space in the intro, so here's the acronym explanation: HCI means Human Computer Interaction. My career journey started with studying Computer Science, then discovering and pivoting into the field of HCI, getting my first full time job as an Interaction Designer, then as a User Experience Designer, and now I've pivoted again into Design Operations (DesignOps), which I describe as designing the designer experience.
#Introduction I am Saara Kamppari-Miller, and I am a #designer geeking. When I was studying #HCI in grad school I bought a Geek mug, and so when I needed a new online handle, this mug gave me inspiration. I am currently an Inclusive #DesignOps Program Manager in the Intel #Accessibility Office, meaning that I am helping UX teams adopt #InclusiveDesign practices. #Gardening is my favorite way to relax and get away from technology. I absolutely love living in a walkable and bikeable neighborhood.
My recently planted tulips and daffodils are still on their way out of the ground, but these two pink hyacinths are bringing joy #Gardening
I am talking at axe-con today! I'll be sharing a playbook for how to start operationalizing inclusive design. Register to watch live and ask questions, or watch the recording later on demand.
