I’m trying amaranth for the first time, here in a large container with some ornamental corn, and it’s growing so fast! Love the dark red color, and am looking forward to the large flower/seed plumes it’s supposed to produce. Looks like a few bugs are enjoying the leaves. 🌾🦗

I have this idea of building a "Luddite Library". A set of information, tools and processes to harness luddite thinking when analyzing technological developments and "innovation".

Something that interested parties could use to understand that there might be a different way to think about what tech is/should be/can be/mustn't be for us. Think for example sets of questions to use to analyze a new thing being pushed on you and similar tools.

I'm thinking about applying for grants to fund this. If anyone has an idea where to propose this, I'd be grateful for a message to: tante+ludditelibrary@tante.cc

A visit to Redwood National and State Parks on Saturday, following just a bit of rain. The colors in the forest are different - perhaps the trees are still a little darker in color than on days not preceded by precipitation. The tree in the center, gently illuminated by the sun, is remarkably huge, especially when one considers that the neighboring trees are pretty much what could be called normal in size. The sky is blue and the needles, leaves, and vegetation are a variety of greens.

Rhododendron in the understory, Redwood National and State Parks, following a bit of rain. The pink and white colors of the flowers appeared here and there throughout the forest, none close enough for me to get a good picture, but hopefully this image provides a general idea of the scene. The green leaves of the rhododendron frame the flowers. Two large trees appear in the background along with a sliver of the day’s blue sky.

I know Stereophonics are a marmite band, but my god I enjoyed myself last night seeing them at the Isle of Wight Festival.
I'm so glad that I decided to go, rather than sit at home. My mental health hasn't been the best this year, but I'm starting to feel like me again now and these lads didn't half help.
Why I love seeing them play I'm not sure, but they've got something special. I made some new friends there too and I really enjoyed going on my own. I was only there for 3 hours, but it was wonderful 😊
