He is siding with anti-Semites who want to destroy Israel and send missionaries to proselytize Jews.. he keeps siding with bullies and refuses to respond to email. Where can I get a lawyer? One of my deepest concerns about the internet is the way that it magnifies both the "alternative fact" mindset of the far right and the deconstructionist /postmodernist mindset of the far left: both those groups operate under the seemingly innocuous guise of offering different points of view, but are actually both based on a denial of the possibility for facts to exist or matter in any instance. I keep coming across books with Rumi's poetry, but many are by #authors not familiar with Rumi's actual words. They are often just poetic restatements of earlier English #translations. Most don't mention which of Rumi's actual works that they come from, which indicates that the translators weren't working from the original #Persian. Where can we find good translations of #Rumi that tell us where the quotes come from? Any suggestions?

If you're not convinced that translation matters much in literature, here's the start of Rumi's Masnavi, in both Jawid Mojaddedi's (Oxford World's Classics) and Alan Williams' (Bloomsbury) translations.
I think they both have their upsides but I much prefer the second. Whichever you prefer, you can see how they read like very different poems!

Discussing this locally, we're greatly troubled that even under the current administration, almost everyone responsible for the January 6 #insurrection have not yet been charged. Any true #conservative would want sincere #lawandorder. We are deeply worried about our #legalsystem effectively allowing any rich or powerful person to be above the law. If our legal departments are afraid to simply follow #American #law, we're in trouble
