@amici ​Tariffs contributed a bit, but the main cause is AI. DRAM manufacturers have shifted much of their production toward HBM for enterprise-level AI hardware (e.g. graphics cards), which has reduced the supply of DRAM for the consumer market.

RAM prices are going crazy. I bought an 8GB DDR4-2666 stick for RM 38.5(~8.75 USD) a years ago. Now, it’s RM 213.3(~ 51.6 USD)!
