A great talk by Joel Rüegger of the group of Mario van der Stelt at #FocusOnCovalentDrugs. He talked about his amazing work in the @LED3hub on the CellEKT platform for profiling target engagement of kinase inhibitors in living cells. It was great to be able to present some of our work at #FocusOnCovalentDrugs. I talked about our work on cysteine profiling (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/anie.201912075), the profiling of diverse electrophiles (https://chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxiv/article-details/60e97c1eb95bdd5c9f60c0ee) as well as some very new unpublished data.

Great talk by Tessa Gote from the group of Zach Armstrong of the @LED3hub at #LeidenBioscience. She talked about the importance of sialic acid esterases for the virulence of S. pneumoniae and how she is working towards developing inhibitors for these enzymes.

The #LeidenGlycoscience meeting is off to a great start with an insightful lecture by Jeroen Codee of the @LED3hub. He talked about his group's exciting work on the synthesis of sugar- and phosphate-containing biomolecules.

We are very excited that three of our researchers, Madeline Kavanagh, Kim Bonger and Sander van Kasteren, were successful in obtaining funding through the ZonMw open competition.

We are very happy that John Overington visited us today for a LED3 Lecture. He talked about "Drug Discovery - the use of data and algorithms in discovery" with many interesting insights, how available data can be used to improve drug discovery.

Making better use of available data is an important way to make drug discovery more efficient.

In his @LED3hub John Overington talked about the power of data to speed up the drug discovery process.
