seriously... how do you call it if you worked on a medical device prototype for optical cancer imaging and you did EVERYTHING by yourself? like literally from the conception to the design and fabrication of the prototype. from its internal structure, to housing, the mechanics of moving parts, the whole electronics design and fabrication as well as the optical engineering and firmware programming?
I really dont know what to write in my CV to describe that.

Accountants do the sums to raise £16,000 for cancer charity
Accountancy firm, Ashmole & Co have raised a staggering £16,000 over the past 12 months for Tenovus Cancer Care. The staff of the accountancy firm skydived, run marathons and walked many miles to raise funds for the Welsh cancer charity.
Ten Ashmole & Co staff took on the ultimate thrill-seeking challenge recently by doing a tandem skydive over the Gower coastline. Jim Cornock, Partner, ran both the recent London Marathon and last autumn’s Marathon Eryri. Helen James in the Ammanford office organised a fundraising entertainment evening which raised over £1,600. Staff and Partners were sponsored to walk twelve miles along the Swansea coastal path last September. Staff in all offices also held dress down Fridays and baked cakes to help raise funds.
Tenovus Cancer Care is a Wales-based charity which gives help, hope and a voice to everyone affected by cancer. Tenovus is there for anyone affected by cancer. Together with its inspiring community of supporters, volunteers and fundraisers, the charity is determined to be there for everyone affected today, tomorrow and beyond.
Sharon George, Ashmole & Co Partner in the Carmarthen office, said, “Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer, or has a family member receiving treatment themselves. We were keen to support a cancer charity based in Wales and all the funds raised will be used to support those affected by cancer in Wales. We must thank our clients and friends who have helped us raise this significant amount through collections and events for this extremely worthy cause.”
The £16,109.55 raised by Ashmole & Co will fund the running costs, staffing and treatments in one of Tenovus’ mobile support units for one month.
Clare Davies, Tenovus Cancer Care’s Regional Fundraising Manager said, “We are very grateful to Ashmole & Co for helping to raise funds and awareness of Tenovus over the past 12 months. Your donation will mean we can continue to support cancer patients and their loved ones with our services and actively campaign to improve outcomes and give a voice to all affected by cancer in Wales.”

There is a striking resemble to things recommended and backed by Big #Tabacco vs #Science some decades ago.
Ironically, they demanded what we in #OpenScience demand nowadays, but with a very different aim... :(
Here a quick summary:
"Long before today’s #Open #Science movements, the Executive Committee of the Sound Science Coalition (1994; cited in Ong & Glantz, 2001) published guidelines that align with what Open Science practices advocate today. For example:
(1) The study design should inform about all hypotheses,
(2) after the study was conducted, the data should be analyzed as described in the study design, and
(3) if the data does not support the hypotheses, no further analyses are necessary.
Shockingly, in 1994 these recommendations were motivated by the fact that parts of the #tobacco industry aimed to #discredit research and researchers on a large scale, with the goal that it could not be legally established that smoking increases the risk of lung #cancer (Drope, 2001; Muggli et al., 2001; Ong & Glantz, 2001). Along this line, one may accuse researchers as having been naive to the vested interests aligning with scientific rigour by non-researchers."
