@Lee6
I wish you a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
Today’s supervisor is happy to get park time in before the rain starts.

@BernieDoesIt thank you, I hope so, too. :)
@benjamincox I feel like this is the most important article about autism for anyone to read: https://neuroclastic.com/its-a-spectrum-doesnt-mean-what-you-think/

#Elvanse day 04.
I get shit done! And remember things like:changing the lightbulb from my cars spotlight. And had a totally productive morning, decluttering and rearranging furniture in my mind, collecting ideas.
Feel a little tired, sleep is weird.
But hey, that was expected a little and will change in a few days.
But first: delicious apple-crumble I had hidden in the fridge to keep the teenage boys from noticing it. (They had some yesterday, too.)
I miss coffee right now.

@herrbischoff yeah that puts into context, and it was definitively a different era. But still… what represents my core values was the same back then.
So people do have changed?
I guess I’m not able to enjoy the shows and movies I watched then (or some, at least) as much now. I mean I can’t take my experiences and insights back out of me. Some of the movies that I rewatched really were disappointments, and I don’t love them as much anymore. Probably won’t watch them ever again but will keep the findings and happy memories.
You will know who your people are.
They will feel like safety.
They will feel like sunlight.

That’s interesting to read about the differences in the areas/dialects.

My brain always produces a picture to each metaphor I hear or read, can sometimes be funny to think about, too. And I understand them, like you said when they’re familiar it’s easier.
If someone said „I said it a million times!“ my thought would be immediately no, you didn’t, that’s impossible.
Same with irony and sarcasm for me. When they’re used correct (obvious), I understand them. And I actually love to use them myself.

@QueerMatters my flavour of autism is to nearly never get those descriptions/written instructions by others right… I’m asking myself in your case how you divide the packet without scattering the seasoning from the packet?
For measurements you could just get two different scales, one in the gram to kilogram area and one in the microgram area. I think my special accuracy weighing machine (lol, what a translation for „Feinwaage“) did cost me under 20 Euros.
And yes, safefood has to be gotten right. What a disappointment if it wasn’t.
@herrbischoff
I always found that critter uncomfortable and could not understand how so many people liked and hyped that show back then.
@Lee6 it was! I shared it with one of my eight year old daughters. Always astonished how much that kid can eat 😃
@tanquist @innervisioner @actuallyautistic This works for my son: make a list of 6 tasks. Roll a six sided die to choose one. Then, roll a 20 sided die to decide how long you will spend doing it. Randomization helps break through the stubborn resistance somehow.
Had awesome apple crumble some time before #running and delicious lasagna (made of the leftover bolognese we had the two days before) afterwards.
Now relaxing in a bubble bath. :)
(I hid the rest of the crumble in the fridge, hope the teenagers will overlook it)
