🎤 I recently had the chance to talk about Nextcloud Atomic (and a bit about NextcloudPi and the Secrets app) on the Linux Prepper podcast.
Compared to the short introduction to NC Atomic at #nextcloudconf25 you will find a lot more insights, technical details and rationale for my architectural decisions.
@stfn The project isn't abandoned, but I'm not adding features currently, just updating it for new Nextcloud versions.
Due to its architecture which causes huge development and testing efforts, it is not long-term sustainable for me. That's why I'm currently putting more focus on @nextcloudatomic which will eventually superseed Nextcloudpi.
The latter employs a way more modern, secure and robust approach, but it's not in a releasable state yet.
@anton Weird, sorry for that! Can you try again? It should give you 60s (I believe) to write something and if you do, the bot shouldn't remove you.
Since the last update, NextcloudPi was a bit *too* enthusiastic about the latest successfully installed Nextcloud update and would inform admins about it every day - this was a bug and it's now finally fixed with v1.55.2

If you are currently on NCP v1.55.0, I recommend to update to v1.55.1 which fixes a bug with the nextcloud updater.

NextcloudPi v1.55.0 is out!
This release brings PHP 8.3, Nextcloud 29 and support for the OrangePi 5 and OrangePi 5 Plus boards along with a number of fixes and minor improvements.

It has been some time since new boards were added as build targets for NextcloudPi (apart from the Raspberry Pi 5). I intend to change that.

Last week, NCP 1.54.3 has been released, bringing improvements to the Nextcloud updater:
- Only major versions are pinned for auto updates, so they will always install the latest minor version
- Auto-selection of a valid major NC release to install when requesting to skip a major release. Before, the update would fail in this case.
This is to ensure timely security updates and fixes for users and relieve me from making a NCP release for every single minor version. :)
