I may boost random stuff that just seems interesting , my comments may be satirical, or sarcastic, or wrong so corrections (with evidence) always much appreciated

Labour MP Clive Lewis voices strong opposition to the UK governmentโs decision to designate protest group Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation โ a move he calls dangerous, disproportionate, and politically motivated.

'Missiles fired from Iran, IDF says, after Trump floats regime change.
The Israeli military has said this morning that it identified missiles shot from Iran towards Israeli territory, that defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat and that the public should go to a safe space.'
Let's hop they are not the same 'safe places' that Israel sent the Palestinian's too, uuuumm.

Perhaps more significantly, it became clear that as the Nazis lost, the Russians were winning
Sahar Delijani, Iranian author
I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.

If you lower the criteria of terrorism to the point where it covers spray painting aeroplanes & claim that this is 'terrorising' military personal then I think we can safely say what you're really trying to do is halt almost any protest.
By all means call it criminal damage, but to invoke terrorism & to deploy anti-terrorism police to catch the protestors is just as much a threat to democracy as that represented by the actions of Donald Trump.
This is not good!

"Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on."
I can't believe that the UK would even contemplate deporting an 8 year old and an 12 year old to Brazil alone. This is the letter the home office sent the 11 year old:
โI am satisfied that there are no serious or compelling reasons to grant you settlement. I am satisfied that you could return to Brazil and continue your education in Brazil where you would have the option to attend an English-speaking school.
Whilst this may involve a degree of disruption in family life this is considered to be proportionate to the legitimate aim of maintaining effective immigration control.โ
I'm ashamed at the actions of this country.
June 19 marks the end of slavery but we were never actually free. I listen to my grampa and gramma who suffered as kids growing up during segregation in mississippi they were not free ๐ my grampa stories real bad , klan and shit bad times.

"Labour would seem to prefer to help businesses"
Yeah, especially energy businesses
@WiteWulf
Yay, almost, almost getting to the UKs nominal voltage 230v
A voltage almost never seen IRL because nothing actually changed when 240v +/- 6% became 230v +10% -6%
In 1967, I was 18 years old and there was a Labour PM in Downing Street. He refused an offer of financial assistance from the then President Johnson in return for the deployment of British troops in Vietnam. Now there is a Labour PM in Downing Street, I am a year or two older, and the possibility of UK military assistance - this time in the Middle East - is being mooted. Time for Keir Starmer to grow a spine like Harold Wilson and tell the US that we'll sit this one out...
My friends, if you are hot and you have a bath or some kind of tub that can accommodate some cold water and your feet...
Do it!!!!
@randahl
Because its a poor country and you dont like its rulers, the solution is to bomb Tehran ?
Going to bomb Iran into democracy, prosperity and a better wealth distribution ?
Stupidity and arrogance exemplified
@ShredderLivesOn
Strange how they place the misuse of stock photos ahead of publishing some complete fantasy bollocks dreamt up by AI or a fever dream - " unable to verify the details published" - nice euphemism

Maybe thats why future launches could be from India
Much cheaper when it all goes wrong - look at Bhopal - its a horrible thought but I bet its a consideration

@lyndamerry484
"real disaster some day soon"
Absolutely, also because for every successful launch there will be a chunky satellite that will partly burn polluting the upper atmosphere for decades (an absolute certainty) or scatter parts to the ground
