The body of "Trey" Reed, a 21-year-old freshman from Grenada, was found just after 7 AM Monday, September 15, 2025 hanging from a tree, near a pickleball field.
He had both a broken arm and broken leg. It happened on the central campus of Delta State University (DSU), a predominantly white school.
Trey's mother told reporter Mike Suriani that she last spoke with him on Friday and that he was excited to start classes at DSU.
We are all responsible for this. Its not just Mississippi problem, or a black problem or a white supremacist problem, not even a USA problem. And we all can end it right now.
