I have been working in AI for a long time, but this is the first time I find AI hype annoying: I am not interested in using AI models to generate text or images. I still think AI can solve more important problems than these, but there is less and less focus on that. People go for the shiny and easy to show stuff.

@jfpuget yes, it was tensor dimension, but it was hidden, because I used Recbole. I just passed longer sequence that the model was designed to handle. And Recbole is based on PyTorch. :) Thanks for the CPU trick!
It’s fascinating how each new technology says just as much about us as it does about itself. For example, all the discussion about ChatGPT on my Twitter is about how the model behind it works, the training data, the reinforcement learning. On LinkedIn, it’s mostly marketers that are talking about how to write good prompts to help them write SEO. On Tumblr, many artists are angry and afraid of what generative and diffusion models are doing to the concept of what it means to make art.
It took me only 10h to deal with `CUDA error: device-side assert triggered`. I feel proud of myself 😂

I asked the same question on birdsite and mastodon (can you share examples of cuda install issues). On twitter I got 41 likes, 5 RTs but only one person responding with actual examples, from 14k followers. Here, 4 examples, 7 boosts, from 800 followers.
The good news is that cuda install does not seem to be that bad given how few examples were shared. I welcome more if you have them.
