@yolandicloete Well I think lots of us like that indeed :) My taste evolved, I'd like : Useful and quality goodies (stuff that will not break after two usage) and that I can transport easily from a meeting. Some ex that I had for years: The USB-A power-only plug/converter, a notebook, a leather luggage tag., small tools (screwdriver and multitool), keyrings , tech bags (pouch), tote bags.

hey ! looking for experiences on #UPS to be #rack ed, like 1/2U, integration in #librenms (so #snmp and #linux support) for 2x #Arista 7050 , a server, a management oobm switch ( 2960 ) and some small stuff. Im aiming at durability and option to swap batteries, possibly ethernet for mgmt.

I'm looking for alternatives to APC, would Eaton be a good option ? Other ideas ?

@nico Calls on the 2nd device were not a requirement for me. Mostly text (sms) and data (like for an oobm) but not more than that. I also tend to reduce my " legacy calls " if possible.

@nico it is. One of my experiment was a SIM in an APU, and now in a Teltonika. Not happy about the usability.

@nico Interesting one : I currently have one, might need two, but would prefer not being dependant on any. I've been considering having an anonymous phone where 2fa can be done which is not my known number, and that i could not carry with me all the time to avoid loosing it. Otoh, I'd love being less dependant on phones, but my text / messaging center is mostly there.

I'm curious whether folks here, who run their own email server, still have a backup MX - I'm pondering (re)implementing one, but am not sure it's needed in 2025, with most email servers having retries options (not to mention this avoids spam being sent to the backup MX).

What do you do for your own domains?

@mxp A froid comme ça, moi non plus remarque. Je pense que ces deux mots nécessitent un contexte plus complet pour pouvoir choisir leur équivalent français . Par ex, si je dis " router " dans le réseau, on sait ce que c'est. Mais ça pourrait aussi être dans le cadre d'une CNC. Et du coup routeur et fraiseuse, potentiellement ;)
