Other than some secondary components here or there, my PC was almost 9 years old, so it was time for an upgrade! Blender flies now! ๐
@wellschmaltz It's still just 'Star Trek: The Movie', but in Spanish XD
Managed to track down an original cinema poster of the argentine release of TMP. It's in pretty good condition given the age, and looks great in my now renovated study. ๐
After listening to the Skyrim OST for the hundredth time, I had the thought of looking for the Lineage 2 OST, and now I'm crying my eyes out from all the nostalgia
I used to play this game a lot in 04 to 08, end of elementary and first few years of high school, with different groups of friends in South American private servers
Days to even download the thing, we had no idea what an MMO even was, and it was a miracle it even ran on our old PCs. Oh, to be so innocent ๐๐๐
The good folks over at People Make Games just released their latest episode, and it's about Bridge Command, the immersive starship experience in London I worked on as set designer!
Check it out, and if you're interested in the experience consider booking a session, it's a great time!
@portalrealm That last render is from the 2006 game Star Trek: Legacy. I still think it's better looking than the Eaglemoss one. ๐
@portalrealm All FC ships had two versions of the CG models, the biggest tell is the lack of illumination. It's still somewhat common to do that, and you can spot the same thing happening on many DS9 episodes.
The 'scooped' section is just textured in, and it's present on both versions. What I find interesting that no newer CG model replicated is that the saucer edge is curved downwards rather than pointy, and how the bottom of the saucer then goes up again after the forward edge.
Latest update to the archive
We have a new costume section (still in progress though)
A lot of blueprints (several bridges), physical models, and a lot of UI scans.
Full change log and links to each new item's folder: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/set-blueprint-exchange.244483/post-15124601
@tomtrottel Thanks! Indeed, just as we saw on the Pasteur and many other ships :)
As promised yesterday, here's the finished USS Leloir bridge! I've written a full backstory for the ship (as well as a few words on the Olympic class itself) which you can find on my website: https://tadeodoria.com/pages/olympic
With more renders on the bridge specifically here: https://tadeodoria.com/projects/zxBL6Q?album_id=14321411
Hope you like it! โค๏ธ ๐
Finally had some free time and finished the helm console LCARS on the Leloir bridge. I tried a bunch of different things for the two central panels, their curve and small height made a more traditional layout difficult.
That's it for this bridge then, hopefully by tomorrow I'll be able to render all the finished images!
Inkscape 1.4.1 builds on last year's GIANT release with a ton of bug fixes, tool tweaks and a couple of new features

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the final sequence of Star Trek: Enterprise is literally perfect ๐
