The photo is divided roughly into two parts. One part consisting of the lower 2/3 of the frame shows a metal grate with sunlight reflecting off the structure. Dark shadows angle across the grate cast by a fence. The fence separates that grate from another grate, which is very light. The overall effect is of many different sizes of squares.

I really enjoyed this one. Sad, funny. The big sweep of time. Big things happen to people and the story continues anyway.

Here’s a hepatica for ya from this morning’s dog walk.
