With Recall happening now, I think now's the time for Valve to develop and roll out a sort of "reverse Proton" that would allow users to run Linux-native games on Windows. Incentivize devs to dump Windows while not punishing users who decide to (or have to) stay.

@richardgunther so first I create a vector image of the file using Inkscape. Each color is a separate layer. I save each layer as a separate SVG file, then import them into Tinkercad to make the 3D file.

@eniko pmg has a discord?? I was not aware.

@marybethR Oh yeah, I had Word Perfect! Used to write lots of stuff on there! And I remember if you wanted spreadsheets, Lotus 123 was the place to go. Oh, and used to love making things in Print Shop!

So I 3D printed a design that I thought would make for a fun pin to put on a backpack or laptop case....but so far no one I've shown it to has recognized this logo instantly...feeling old today.

Instead of storing my data in the cloud, I just store it in the bush. It's the same thing, only palette-swapped. More accessible, too.

I worry that I date myself terribly by still loving a bunch of the stuff I loved as a kid and young adult - Final Fantasy 6, Cowboy Bebop, IRC, Our Lady Peace, The Simpsons, Command & Conquer, WinAmp.... all wild retro shit by today's standards.

But then I think about some of the stuff that my parents and grandparents loved and how much reverence and fondness I, as an adult, treat it with, because they introduced it to me with such obvious fondness, and I think "nah, 's good to like stuff"

Wow, so after months of failed attempts, I've finally, FINALLY, moved by blog off of WordPress and having it as a simple static site hosted on Netlify! The address is www.paintedpixels.xyz. I'm still setting things up and moving things around, lots of pics from older posts are broken, and the custom domain is only on the homepage right now, gotta figure out how to make it the address for every page, but hey, it's now it's own thing! Now to make a page full of my favorite links to other pages, and a page of Neocities-like badges!
