If applications to places of higher learning should only be based on the applicant's qualifications and personal merit, then we need to make certain these kids aren't being turned away 'cause their daddy isn't an alumnus with deep pockets who has made donations to the school to ensure Jr. gets preferential admission status.
And I really don't give a rip if this will impact the school's pocket book. Boo-effing-hooo!

I only have one thing to say after the SCOTUS ruling yesterday: Now, people, fight to insist on legislation to block ALL LEGACY ADMISSIONS to colleges, universities and trade schools-- and ensure it's enforced.

I didn't have a macro lens with me, so I used a 100-400mm lens with some extension tubes. Then I focus stacked about 40 images. The flower was blowing around a little bit, so it isn't as ideal as I'd like, but it's still fun to see.

@DemocracyMattersALot I think the only thing that keeps his name in the headlines is that during an era of razor-thin margins between parties in the US Senate, he has positioned himself as a spoiler. Democrats must cave to his colossal self-aggrandizement or else. Honestly, he is nothing special, but he's now hinting at a run for president as a 3rd party candidate. Hopefully folks can see he has nothing of substance to offer other than as a wrecking ball.
