you have a moment.
write that line.
you never know when or if
the next one, may be the one
that uplifts
pulls, or ultimately finds
its listening people
ideas take root, bloom, shine.
when writers take a moment.
write that line.
Lich by day; writing passes the time.
I love #poetry and varied vivid expressions of wonder
feels natural, letting the poison drip from
my heart, down my arms, through the fractured veins
down my fingers
into this, digital world.
here, dried tears crystallize
into scarlet ink,
smeared and radiant for all to read.
gifts aren't supposed to give back
yet, these words do.
they have teeth.
that bite into those that come near
the people who stay after..
well..
thank you.
use the time wisely:
winter's library is rich with
quiet thunderbolts

Just published an article about how an expert learns - from sight-reading to performing music... on cello using eye tracking technology. it's open access, so freely available: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/10298649251385671
Even if you don't read the fancy bits, the progression of the heat maps to show the engagement of the eye and mind are very cool ! #research #music #cello
The grass tips are crystal, the stars paint the shimmering backyard.
I take a moment from the chaos and noise just inside.
just behind, the sliding glass door. a light seal to that world and this moment.
I love those people, in there, they are all important to me.
But damn, it is good to breathe.

my journal is a sifter,
that i use to cleanse my days.
find the gems, embed them
deep into their page.
so much time invested,
yet by books end, im pleased,
too see the records of my life,
distilled and glistening.
sometimes i can feel our house.
its heartbeat, its soul.
after a nap ill catch it,
smile.
or after ive misplaced my keys
feel its jealous smirk
knowing now, i cant leave.
feel its misplaced pride in
its growing hoard of unpaired socks.
i shake my head.
its mischievous
and i like to think
its happy to be a home.
#WordWeavers: When it comes to your writing, what are you thankful for?
The expression writing allows and the freedom. I love how writing gives grace to an idea, prompt or moment. very thankful.
