We don’t stop stepping on rakes—we just get better at it

Meme shows new programmers stepping on one rake and getting hit, while experienced programmers confidently trip over many rakes at once.

Just created my first . It results in a script, with 2 inputs for my 1 of the inputs is the source and the other the volume. Use this script in automations to set the source and volume to the defined values.

@AncTreat5358@tech.lgbt @welshstu You could try to see if not using wifi solves the issue, if it does, you could try different channels to see if it helps?

Why o why is it that when I copy some part of a chat message from , that i ALWAYS wants to include the name of the sender and the time of receiving the message. WTF, I just want to copy a password I received to paste it in a password field, not to paste it in notepad and remove some parts and copy it again to finally paste in in the password field

@richarddonovan well it says more about the person using blame to blame a specific person. After all most products are a team effort, so the team let the bug end up in production. For bigger projects there is the reviewer and tester, for smaller projects it is maybe organized differently, but blaming bugs is soo not done. As I said the team is responsible. Everybody makes bugs, as team you try to figure out how to catch them.

#BASIC (Beginner's All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) was created 60 years ago by John G. Kemeny and Thomas E. Kurtz at Dartmouth College.

It revolutionized computing by making programming accessible to non-professionals.

BASIC's easy-to-grasp syntax and plain English keywords allowed beginners to write programs quickly. It gained popularity on early PCs like Apple II and IBM, and its influence can still be seen in modern languages like Python and JavaScript.

Despite its decline in practical use, BASIC's legacy lives on, shaping the landscape of computing and programming education.

@b0rk @ChateauErin well be happy I used cvs and source safe, especially the later is well no fun at all (to be mild) since we moved all our code to git, its super!!! But boy did I yell at it, because I couldnt get used to it in the beginning. Now I love it

@testdouble @lsparlin is there a reason to not just use function overloading?

I needed to calculate how many message parts a was going to use. So I wrote a small function to do exactly that. gist.github.com/air2/02f487a92

@omgbees isn’t this an eslint problem? Are you using project references? Does restarting eslintserver solve the issue?

@iamada @Lira@hellsite.site why? Why not let yourself say, well this is how I am, so f*ck it and dont ask from yourself to keep it clean, while thats an almost impossible task. Most people dont ask those kind of things from themselves.
