Escribir ecuaciones en #LaTeX es bastante pesado. Afortunadamente está el paquete para #Julialang #Latexify.jl. Escribes la fórmula y la transforma en LaTeX de manera muy arreglada. Por ejemplo:

Pone bien los subíndices, paréntesis y los operadores.

Can we please, as people who work with large public #datasets, start using torrents? I am just simply trying to find an old version of the #ImageNet Object Detection from Video dataset, and all of the links are broken! For multiple years! Another ImageNet dataset I’m downloading is downloading at 500KB/s.

People have clearly been looking for and using these datasets, and now I need to retrain something and I’m without them. We need to band together and start a torrent tracker for datasets so that we don’t need to rely on one website to download from. With proper permission from the dataset owners of course…

I’m so committed I might buy my own domain and start hosting a torrent tracker. Anyone interested?

Un truc utile qui m’aide beaucoup sur Mastodon :

Je me fais une liste « Ami·es », dans laquelle je mets les comptes des gens proches.

Ça me permet de :

- Être sûr de voir les messages des ami·es, même s’ils publient rarement (ils ne sont pas noyés dans la masse du reste) ;

- Commencer la journée avec les messages cools des copain·es (plutôt qu’être bombardé d’actualités et de scandales) ;

- Rattraper facilement ce qui compte après des vacances / période de déconnexion / etc.

Pour les médias, #Threads est l’avenir et Mastodon un obscur nouveau truc alternatif.

Pour rappel, les instances officielles européennes disposent, depuis plus d’un an de leur propre instance Mastodon avec, entre autres, le compte officiel de la commission européenne : @EU_Commission

La fondation Wikimedia vient également d’ouvrir son instance. Bienvenue @wikimediafoundation

Mastodon, je fais rarement appel à toi, mais là c'est une urgence vitale.

Un couple de vieux amis à moi va être mis à la rue d'ici printemps prochain, et ils ont besoin d'aide pour trouver un logement.

Tous les deux Trans et Handi, avec l'AAH, ils ont besoin d'un logement dans le Nord des #Landes , autour de #MontDeMarsan si possible (sinon perte d'AAH s'ils sortent de ce département), 550€/mois grand max, au calme, animaux ok, 70-80m², et pas de HLM si possible svp (très mauvaise expérience)

FWIW I still hope Elon succeeds with Twitter. Why wish failure on anyone? But for me, not letting people post links to their other accounts was just too much.

I haven't "left Twitter." I just don't want to keep using it while it's banning links to other sites. Plus given the way things are going, it seemed like a good time to learn more about Mastodon.
