For the moment I settled on 3 steps into the first wave of revision.
1/3 - Correcting all grammar errors and rewriting stuff I don’t like.
2/3 - Try to improve the pacing and the dialogue.
3/3 - Improve the story with better descriptions and check that all character’s behaviour are consistent within the whole story (I try to be in their skin, to think like them whether they are good or bad people).
4/3 - Reward myself with a nice Genmaicha Tea while watching Gundam Anime 🫖😁 #writingtips

👋 Hi folks it’s been a long time since I have not given an update on my #writings. I have finally started to work on the revision of the sci-fi novella I wrote last #Nanowrimo. It was difficult to get back to it after such pause. I did many reread and in the overall I like it enough to work more on it. There is, of course, a lot to rewrite and change to do, but that doesn’t discourage me. I plan to self publish it around April. Current state: Chapter 1 Done ✅ My current revision method ⬇️

#NaNoWriMo 🌟 Final Day : +2443 words. On this 22nd day, I am proud to say that I have finished my Novella! It was challenging to make and follow my first outline but I made it. I like most of the result, except some broken chapters that will require some work. My plan is to edit in January with fresh eyes, for an eventual self-release in March. Thanks to everybody who has helped me with cheers, advice and research. I am glad to have found a supporting community! 🧡

So I'm here now, sort of.

Kind of sad to see people complaining about #Mastodon rather than celebrating it's open source nature. Isn't this the future we want for social media? A future where we are not the product, a means for collecting data to sell and for engagement with ads. Don't we want to form our own communities instead of being reliant on giant for profit companies? This does not need to be just a samey alternative, it can be something new! And I'm hopefully it'll go that way...

Finally, FINALLY, got to 30,000 words! Just need to do 1,667 more today to catch up!

I'm only at 25k words for #nanowrimo, but I'm honestly very happy with that. The last few NaNoWriMos I pushed through those blockages, but what I ended up with was borderline incoherent at times. I'll enjoy the progress instead. #nanowrimo2022, so far, is going pretty damned well.
