the EU is doing a mass surveillance thing again, and mandating LEA-only backdoors
because they can't learn, much less learn from others

Vienna granted asylum to a spherical micronation in 1982, changed their mind, fought all the way to the supreme court, lost, then gave up.
It's still sat in a public park and has 650 citizens.
Hey, ever notice how people in power ~HATE~ collective activism: protests, unions, solidarity movements, etc.? And that they'd much rather you act individually and "politely"?
There's a reason. Collective action *works* and individual politeness DOES NOT.
It's not complicated.
This has been said many times, but it's worth reiterating...
Dysphoria is a pretty counterproductive framework for identity exploration. It mostly tells you *that* something is wrong, but usually not *how* it's wrong. It can be unclear where to even go from there.
Euphoria, on the other hand, tells you *how* something is *right*, which also implicitly tells you what's wrong. This gives you a lot more information, and is much more useful in finding your identity beyond an abstract "not this".
If you want an lol - Microsoft have implemented Copilot on its own GitHub repos and it’s a clusterfuck, you can see MS engineers publicly begging Copilot to work.
@leonerd I liked it, for one! Very musical-style, great energy.
programmers are always posting like "worked on tracking down an issue with a Flurble deployment for twelve hours. the problem wasn't in Flurble at all - it was in the Gumbies install. It turns out if you install Gumbies 3.0 over Gumbies 2.7 and don't do a cache flush on all the client spiders they'll get stuck in the crystal maze." then you look up Gumbies and the site is one of those scroll scroll scroll types with one sentence per page, like
"GUMBIES is a lean, expressive sharding sandcube for testing and deploying large scale Woodchips playgrounds.
GUMBIES automates and streamlines away watersliding phases, meaning your team can get right to the chipping.
See why Microsoft, OpenAI and Bloingo have embraced GUMBIES in their Woodchips workflows."
and you get to the bottom and you're like I want this I guess but I still don't know what it is
It's here!
Know your rights. A resource for trans people in the UK following the Supreme Court ruling on the Equality Act.
The Know your rights resource has been reviewed by a team of lawyers to help you (and us) feel confident in knowing your rights.
You'll find it at https://transactual.org.uk/know-your-rights
(And yes, launching it on #IDAHOBLIT was a coincidence)

Ok so, yesterday I was laid off from the company I worked for.
Since I now have fixed expenses, going without income is not an option, so I will proceed to request help from the community here.
I'm looking for a job. It could be in almost anything, even things I don't know, since I can learn quickly. Still, I'd prefer it to be on the front-end development side (mobile, web, desktop, whatever) since that's where I'm most comfortable.
My current knowledge is:
- Flutter: Dart, Freezed, BLoC, etc
- React: Web, Native, Zustand, JS/TS, etc
- GTK: Libadwaita, Soup, Peas, C, Vala, JS/TS, Rust
Boosts appreciated
If you're an EU citizen, please sign this initiative proposing a ban on conversion practices targeting LGBTQ people (a.k.a. conversion "therapy"). To be considered, it needs to reach 1 million signatures by the end of this week as well as country-specific thresholds.

@Xanatos Ah, crap, sorry, I forgot to reply.
Disconnecting the drives at install time will not isolate Windows from Linux at runtime.
Linux detects and recognizes Windows partitions at boot time, even if the partitions were not there at install time. Grub detects the Windows bootloader whenever grub-update runs, which happens whenever a new kernel update is installed.
You're better off not trying to prevent the two OSes from coexisting, that would likely cause more problems than it solves.
The system clock issue used to exist but is no longer a thing I've had to deal with in the last, uh, well over a decade.
Dual-booting works very well, these days. The only issue I've had is when a Windows update replaces the default bootloader with its own, which only supports booting Windows. As said earlier, changing it back can be done in the BIOS or from Windows itself with the proper tool, then everything is back to normal.
(It's still possible to screw up either install by trying to be too clever.)
