@fantasticallyme I'm awake at 04:00 most days. I'd be extremely lucky to get either at that time. The only thing I usually see is the bleak existence of time, as even the bats have gone to sleep too as I'm getting ready for work.

Over the past few days (3) I've really embraced/let go of my own #adhd restraints.
Problem is (as I see it), I can either let it control me to the point of absurdity (like counting the number of threads in a rug) or own it (carried 22 pallets, dug out 2 ton of soil and rubble, took down a conservatory, installed outside switch, carried a fridge).

Productivity suggests using my ADHD to almost burnout then stopping. Like toast, cook until burnt them 10 seconds less.

@CrockettForReal depends on who it's done to. I tend not to do it in shops or on the bus, but a cheeky one now and then never hurts.

From an actual conversation I had today at work.

Colleague A: You do know the sun and moon were created by the Chinese.
Me: wait what?
Colleague A: Yeah, they were put there years ago by the Chinese.
Me: but, what about the ones that were already there?
Colleague A: They were removed.
Me: ok...

Also Me: So... does that mean they turned off the sun like a light switch and hid the moon behind a cloud?
Colleague A: Goes to make a drink.

I just can't with this at all 🙄

Do we need social media, or does social media need us?

This has been on my mind the last few weeks.

Would social media exist if we (population) had nothing to share with people, or do we share pointless facts to keep the social media engines turning?

Having finally deleted WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram (stripped back), and Facebook (deleted 190 "connections" that don't connect), it seems we're fixated on the ego over the self. We no longer see ahead.

I’m a frickin genius.

Context: my kid is mildly allergic to citric acid and citric fruit. Brings out eczema. And citric acid is in SO many things. And it’s painful checking ingredients lists for it.

This morning I wondered: can my phone OCR the ingredients list and check it?

My first thought was to make a little web app. But there doesn’t seem to be a OCR in web browsers yet.

But I KNOW my phone can get text from images.
