Excited for this year’s grand finale! I’ve already begun new projects, and new doors have opened that will bring me the peace I’ve been seeking over the past 10 months. I just need to incorporate my personal projects, and everything will come together perfectly.
Check out this new #OnePage #ttrpg I made, Bullets in the Jungle. It is themed after 80s action monster movies, with some obvious nods to Predator. But others inspired it, as well. The game uses the Roll Up! system. Free. #TabletopRoleplayingGames #tabletopGame #1pRPGjam
Wolverine card for Marvel Crisis Protocol and the miniature. I have a collection of miniatures from this game that I will be sharing over the next few days 😀 🫡 #MarvelCrisisProtocol #Miniatures #Wolverine #Marvel
Another of the created design for Aliens Colonial Marines, and I still possess the original 3D model that was utilized in developing this concept artwork.#AliensColonialMarines #ConceptArt #3DModel
During my involvement in the development of the concept art for Aliens Colonial Marines, my primary focus was on crafting the design of the APC RIDE for the video game.
Drawing inspiration from the well-known APC featured in the movie Aliens, I produced various concept art pieces for the game.
Unfortunately, all the additional levels I worked on were lost during the development stage.
Thank God … I’ve been on Gimp and Scribus for the past 15 years, mainly because I could never afford Adobe products for the little bit of work I needed them for.
I was open source a long time ago because I just couldn’t afford paying for stuff for the little time I needed software. Now I’m happy to be fully open source and even contribute with donations to the projects I like the most. I donate annually now to projects like Wikipedia, Libreoffice, Scribus and Fediverse developers and projects.
This is one criticism I’ll always have with open source supporters … if you want open source alternatives, contribute with donations to them. Give anything you can afford … $1, $2, $10 … because they need money to survive and stay engaged and committed to their project.
If we all just stand aside and take advantage of free open software and not give anything, then we are no better than the corporations we were trying to avoid. Instead of corporations taking advantage of us, we are taking advantage of developers.
So if you want these open projects to live and survive, contribute to them with whatever you got. If we all just gave a dollar each to these projects, no matter what they are, the developers would have more than enough to maintain their work.
And whatever you contribute, it will be far less than the hundreds of dollars annually you would have given to a big corporation that would have just counted your money as profit and not directly contribute or support the actual developers.
You heard #Adobe. Deep down you knew this was coming. Now all your art are belong to them. Time to move on to better things...

7 clients to attend to, multiple illustrations, covers, and comic pages to complete, the typical Monday challenges, and the beginning of a new month. #workinglife #artist
@PC_Fluesterer Thank you very much for the suggestion, Mint+Debian is a combination I hadn't considered. I'll certainly give it a shot!
@scherzog Thank you! that's what I was looking for!
Thinking of setting up a #Linux distro to start moving my illustration workflow there. I just need to keep trying #Krita to leave #Photoshop behind, and my concern is my #Huion 16 2K. I think it will work like a charm, but there are so many distros to choose from that I can't decide which one will be better for me. Any suggestions for an illustrator with real deadlines and clients, not just for hobby? Maybe #popos or just #ubuntu ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Frunsi wanted permission to package #krita with their Android art tablet. There's no problem with that, of course! They sent me one of their tablets, and I have to say, I'm quite impressed. Feels nice, great screen, really complete -- even comes with gloves, a manual, a spare battery and more:
Ramgod cover from Sedat Oezgen that I had the pleasure of coloring 💪
@discorobot Hahaha, amazing! All the 80s vibes, and you had trucks and cars. Tell me you started a little fire with small tires, and I'll die.
This is a gift from a great friend of mine, based in a character I created and a friend make an illustration and expanded the world. 3 people creations from 1 single idea 🔄
@discorobot Amazing setup! The movie posters are a great touch 😅
A quick sketch after the movie 🍿🎥
I've decided to watch this masterpiece again and again. Dan was one of the most creative directors and writers ever. The way the story, characters, and humor evolve during the film is just sublime. Even the amazing soundtrack!
This is my dose of inspiration before starting a new project. It reminds me that everything is possible when you put your passion into it. #zombies #cultfilms
@simplycorbett@ready.social Thank you very much for the tips! I will try Ivory in my phone because I want to find more cool content with hashtags. And about the server I was looking the list to move out to a new one, the mastodont.art server has too many rules that I particularly don't like as an active creator but it's great had the option to change anytime of server and make new friends there.
Thanks for the tips!!! 👍🙏
