@BlockMeAmadeus Voluntarily getting up at 8am on a Saturday morning and not having to get up immediately after consuming 1/2 pot of coffee and spending a good amount of time in the bathroom are both superpowers.

It's now TWO YEARS and 15 days since Donald Trump's Jan 6 terrorist attack. In any other first world country he'd already be charged with crimes. Instead Trump is now running for President where he's actively spewing more lies to delegitimize our democracy. INDICT TRUMP!

I have been conscious about how #light affects my mood and well being for some time. Professionally, I was actively involved with luminosity and color temperature discussions in several #it data center lighting upgrade projects. And light has an enormous effect in #photography.

I mention all of this because the #fluorescent kitchen and garage lighting was replaced with warm temperature #led alternatives this past week. Saves money, and the light quality is vastly superior. I feel better.

I’ve found that the best way to make someone defensive in an argument is to say hey no need to get defensive. Follow me for more successful relationship tips.

I'm not a big #jazz #music guy, but I have a recent fascination with the jazz #drummer. YT has shown me work from some of the past masters like Buddy Rich, and newer talent like Grayson Nekrutman.

But I have to say that I find the Charly Antolini version of #caravan to be one of my favorites. He doesn't seem as technical as some of the other masters, but omg he can #swing.

@zak If I were a smug man, I would say that desperation is what is going on at #twitter right now. But I'm not. I really think that Elon bit off more than he could chew with #twitter in a lot of ways.

@zak #twitter may be down to ~550 full time engineers, but I bet they are at least partially backfilling openings with contractors and 'volunteers' from his other orgs. At least until they leave due to the hellscape or lack of payment.

@ede It's always been easy to lie. The problem imo is that people aren't afraid to get caught, and have no sense of shame anymore.

@GreenFire@climatejustice.social I did some really dumb stuff in my late teens involving bodily injury involving alcohol, I've been around lots of alcoholic friends and family, and (thankfully) my body doesn't process alcohol well anymore.

No judgement here, cutting back can be tough and I applaud those that do.

While I doubt there is anything that can be done to remove Santos, one can hope.

@doot@glitterkitten.co.uk Most of the tech talking heads seem to think the tech layoffs are a result of both a contraction of COVID-era remote hires and a proactive action against an upcoming recession. While that may be true, I also think there is a bit of corporate greed involved.
