Cloudlog

Opensource web-based amateur radio logging application, which is written in PHP & MySQL

2024-07-01

@2m0sql Now fully ledged independent logbooks that can upload to most third-party services natively without third-party tools and kept to my (2M0SQL) core idea of building a simple logbook that isn't bloated with features most don't need.

2024-07-01

It is good sometimes to step back and remember how Cloudlog started, which was a method for
@2m0sql to access his logbook from any device at first this was based on Ham Radio Deluxes database structure it was fairly basic but worked well this was around ~2011

At this point it didn't have the features like uploading direct to ARRLs LoTW (Without tqsl) let alone eQSL or QRZ Logbook but times changed and what was dubbed HRD Web Frontend turned into Cloudlog (Named by the late @m1bxf)

2024-07-01

@M0YNG Just grab the files and database and move it across to the new server you'll need to update

application/config/database.php to the new login details and possibly the /application/config/config.php if the URL has changed

Its pretty painless

Seems someone started a rumour that Cloudlog was dead as a project, pleased to say still very much alive as the day I started it.

My aim to create a stable, easy to use amateur radio logging app continues.

@KC8JC I put together AMSAT UKs Oscar News journal which is both digital and paper

2024-02-24

@KC8JC Biggest issue you will have is getting content written lots will promise but never deliver and that comes as someone who puts together a quarterly magazine.

2024-02-24

@N3VEM @N9DRB @KC8JC @N1ZZZ All depends on whether someone can spec up what it should do and by activityPub is the solution for it

With a new year approaching now is a good time to remind everyone to back up their logbook and if you use Cloudlog make sure it's up to date.

I mean if you don't use Cloudlog could be the perfect time to switch ;-) #hamr #hamradio
